Water Stain On Marble Floor

Dry the surface around the water stain then rub in a circular pattern over the stain until the stain buffs out of the marble. Spray the polishing powder 2 to 3 times with the spray bottle to dampen the polishing powder. In addition spots result from water splashing around the sink. If the stained area feels raised it is a hard water stain.

Add the polishing powder. Unsure which marble polishing powder. Above the etch mark wipe the surface clean of any grit of dirt. Since marble is softer than other natural stones such as granite it is more susceptible to staining from cooking and spills.

Make a natural poultice to remove stains if there is a stain though we haven t yet had one in here i make a natural marble poultice from mixing baking soda and water to create a paste smear the paste over the stain and cover it with cling wrap to keep the poultice in place. Drizzle a few drops of dish soap over a damp cleaning rag. Can usually be removed with a marble cleaner and a soft towel. Mold is a common problem in many bathroom settings.

The problem is most likely a bad installation and or cracks or voids in the grout allowing water to get trapped behind the tiles where it cannot evaporate. Wash it off after 12 24 hours and the stain should be gone. Examine to see if any water mark residue is still present. Instead it just absorbs into the marble. Water stains are yet another common stain that occurs on marble.
