As the salad days artist you ll spend warmest most beautiful months in maine making plates for the 2020 salad days. The salad days artist in residence is commissioned to produce 550 plates from earthenware clay for the event. Salad days is watershed s annual community festival celebrating handmade ceramic work and locally sourced food. This year the stars aligned to make it possible to spend a beautiful summer day at salad days.

The plates are created by a dedicated artist in residence who spends a season at watershed making 550 plates for the festival. Watershed will ship the work to the winners at no additional cost. Watershed s first online ceramic sale in our new web store opened july 11. Join the company of these 25 talented ceramists who have helped grow the salad days celebration from a back yard picnic that started in 1995 to the festival it is today that draws hundreds of visitors to watershed every july. The artist is selected by a jury in late winter prior to their residency.
